Merging the best features of Clio and Discovery Genie begins by linking your Clio account to your Discovery Genie account. Linking your accounts gives you additional options in Clio: Produce Documents and Request Documents.
Selecting either will ensure that the Clio matter exists as a Case in Discovery Genie, and if not, will create a Discovery Genie case for you. Use the “Produce Documents” option if you you are ready to upload your clients documents. Use the “Request Documents” option to request a Direct Upload from your client.
Link your accounts will help you manage your document production and ensure that your finished documents are stored directly into the right Matter in Clio after you review.

Discovery Genie also integrates directly into the Clio timekeeping system to let you automatically track your time and expenses and store this data directly to the corresponding Clio Matter.
When you complete your work in Discovery Genie and stop the timer, Discovery Genie will automatically create a draft Activity in Clio, pre-populated with the tracked time and description.
In addition, any Discovery Genie charges you incur under a linked Clio matter will automatically be stored as an Expense in Clio.

Discovery Genie’s integration with Clio ensures that your completed documents are stored directly to the documents section of Clio under the Clio Matter linked to your Discovery Genie case. While you can also download your production from Discovery Genie, you do not need to take any action to store your production to Clio—the integration automates this, and ensures that your production is always right where you expect to find it.
