During your review, you can put emails or electronic files into virtual “folders” on the fly, so you can group documents together simply and easily. Just type the “folder” name into the folder column, and Discovery Genie will organize the documents into those folders before adding the Bates number.
Make changes.
Discovery Genie allows you to change the metadata—the subject or date of an email, or the filename or date of a document, during your review. (Don’t worry—Discovery Genie keeps a copy of the original subject/filename, and provides that in your index.) If you are dealing with scanned documents with meaningless filenames instead of spending hours renaming documents, just do it in Discovery Genie while you review.

Sort Bates.
Discovery Genie shows you the sort order you choose as you go. If you want to sort by filename, just bring up the “Sort Output Alpha” column, and Discovery Genie will show you exactly how your documents will be sorted. If you prefer to sort chronologically, use the “Sort Output Chrono” file.
When you finish your review, Discovery Genie will sort and Bates number your documents in precisely the order you have specified and previewed. Discovery Genie ensures that you never have gaps in your Bates numbers, and that the Bates numbers are added in precisely the order you choose.
